EtherNet/IP to Allen-Bradley DH+ or Remote I/O Gateway

The EtherNet/IP to Allen-Bradley Data Highway Plus or Remote I/O Gateway provides solutions for some commonly encountered issues where Allen-Bradley PLC5s and SLC processors are connected to a Data Highway Plus or Remote I/O network. When used as a Data Highway Plus bridge this gateway enables HMIs, RSLogix 5, and RSLogix 500 software to connect and communicate to the processors. In addition to enabling remote programming or monitoring of these PLCs or SLCs this bridge can enable an Allen-Bradley CompactLogix controller to communicate to the PLC5s and SLCs on the Data Highway Plus network. When this gateway is configured as a Remote I/O scanner it enables a Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) to control a legacy Remote I/O system facilitating processor upgrades. This gateway allows a phased approach to be used when upgrading or replacing legacy PLC5 or SLC controllers. The gateway provides automatic detection of the Remote I/O baud rate and creation of the Remote I/O racks. Once Block Transfers are configured the Auto-Configuration feature creates RSLogix 5000 tags reducing engineering effort. Once the new PAC is commissioned the legacy I/O can be upgraded one module or one rack at a time as scheduled downtime is available. This gateway minimizes the risk of excessive downtime when upgrading legacy Remote I/O systems.
Data Highway Plus Features:

EtherNet/IP network access to the legacy processors on a DH+ network
- No special configuration software required as this module configures through a web browser
- DH+ Station address is configurable from 0-77 (octal)
- Supports all DH+ baud rates (57.6, 115.2 and 230.4 K baud)
- DH+ network diagnostics, including a station listing all of all active nodes, are available through the web browser
- Multi-colored LED indicates the status of the DH+ network

- Auto-Configuration utility discovers baud rate and maps racks reducing configuration errors
- Partial Rack support
- All Remote I/O baud rates are supported (57.6, 115.2, and 230.4 K baud)
- Auto-Configuration files are editable or customizable after their initial creation providing customization / flexibility
- Supports offline configuration through a CSV file
- Monitoring tools are provided via the web interface to monitor input and output values
- Web pages include Remote I/O diagnostics for Block Transfers, any configured racks, and the Remote I/O network
- Supports up to 32 Remote I/O adapters, and rack numbers 0 – 76 (Octal)
- Supports up to 15 I/O connections to a ControlLogix processor for I/O
- Each connection can have a unique RPI from 5 - 750 mSec
- Auto-Configuration feature maps the discovered Remote I/O points into ControlLogix I/O connections.
- User can specify an Alias Base tag to be used in mapping the pre-defined I/O
- Multi-colored LED indicates the status of the Remote I/O network connection
- Remote I/O Rack and Network diagnostics can be mapped into the ControlLogix Processor using an additional connection
