Interbus Slave Adapter
3170-INTB
Product Description
INTERBUS has been designed as fast sensor / actuator bus for transmitting process data in industrial environments. Due to its transmission procedure and its ring topology, INTERBUS offers excellent features like fast, cyclical and time-equidistant transmission of process data, optimal diagnostics to minimize stop periods, easy handling and installation (plug & play) as well as the optimal prerequisites for the use of optic fiber technology. The 3170-INTB module functions as an INTERBUS slave.
Features and Benefits
The 3170-INTB Interbus communication adapter is a slave device to the INTERBUS Master, and a master controller of the FLEX I/O system where it is installed.
The 3170-INTB Interbus communication adapter is a slave device to the INTRBUS Master, and is a master controller of the FLEX I/O system where it is installed. These Interbus systems can include Interbus processor hosted networks and any soft logic controller supporting Interbus PCP technology.
Applications
The adapter is simple to use requiring only the setting of the interbus node address and the configuration of the host using standard interbus configuration tools. The product includes four diagnostic status indicators easing the network trouble-shooting task. In addition, two interbus network connectors are provided to support standard Interbus network cabling configurations
