PS69-DPM
The PS69 PROFIBUS DP Master module expands the functionality of Rockwell Automation's CompactLogix™ family of processors to include PROFIBUS. This module supports both I/O control and messaging, thus integrating DPV0 and DPV1 functionality into CompactLogix.
The PS69-DPM is a CompactLogix I/O compatible, PROFIBUS certified module, which enables controllers to communicate with a PROFIBUS network. The configuration and diagnostic of the PROFIBUS system is done via the serial diagnostic interface of the module using the System Configuration tool PROSOFT.fdt. The data exchange between controller and module is done via the I/O process data image using CompactLogix / MicroLogix™ backplane technology.

Configuration
The configuration and diagnostic of the PROFIBUS system is done via the serial diagnostic interface of the module using the PROSOFT.fdt system configuration software tool. PROSOFT.fdt is FDT style configuration software and a communication DTM is included with the module allowing easy configuration of the PROFIBUS Master and network slave devices.
The master and network configuration are stored in the FLASH memory of the module.
The PS69-DPM interface appears to the Logix Controller as a standard I/O module and can be configured with RSLogix™ 5000 by Rockwell Automation®.
